Shakira Whight has become the first woman to win a triple jump title in the new London Olympic stadium.

“It’s a fantastic feeling. I’m over the moon,” said the 22-year-old Reading student.

Representing Brunel, she was competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport track and field championships, which were the official athletics test event as London prepares for the Olympics.
