CQC Solutions were the preferred partner used in the Management of the PPM Tool Clarity. We had no need to consider another supplier within the period Yell worked with CQC. CQC are respected within field and used as a facilitator and partner rather than just a supplier. CQC’s extensive knowledge of the PPM tool meant that Yell could rely on CQC to suggest best options.
All Clarity upgrades at Yell were performed by CQC. Always completed with agreed timescales to minimise impact on Yell.
Resources and skills in place to deliver when Yell required. Example is the online reporting designed and built to allow Yell to identify and submit a claim to HMRC for recovery of Research and Development costs. Covered identifying projects or part projects that Yell could use for the claim. In addition identifying the resources/roles that could be included in the claim. This work allowed Yell to initially claim £2 million when initially set up and average of £1.2 million for the following 3 years.
Provided Design workshops for the Resource Management. Providing guidance on what Yell saw as the RM process and what Clarity could provide.
Assisted Yell with build and management of processes, time slices and other administration activities to ensure that the Clarity application was operating efficiently.
Worked with Yell to design and develop portlets required to provide MIS to senior managers. This included Timesheet Governance, Portfolio Management (ideas to project), RAG reporting and Actuals V Budget.
Used CQC to manage the license and maintenance contract on behalf of Yell, with the vendor, Computer Associates. CQC were able to negotiate on behalf of Yell to reduce the contract costs where possible.
We were impressed with the ability of CQC to send in a dedicated team to implement a, or improve a current, Clarity application. An experienced team working together and can be up and running quickly on a client site.
